Hazard lights

Still think the issue is / was the tow bar wiring. The hazard switch should not flash ever when indicators are used so suspect there is either a short or some other device still fitted such as an auxiliary buzzer or flasher for the tow bar socket.

As for the ccm or more accurately the CCCU its wiring is spread over MANY pages of the wiring manual but always refers to the systems on that page.

Thanks for the replies. I would agree. Whoever wired the Towbar shorted or melted some wiring somewhere and the result is no hazard lights and a hazard switch flashing on a right turn indicator. The saga continues.

Can anyone tell me where the battery supply is on the hazard unit. i have shorted out the switch but still no hazard lights. If I can import a fused battery live to the system then I should have working lights.

That is not a good idea. If there is a pre-existing wiring issue then supplying another live feed could make the issue worse and even start an electrical fire. You have replaced the switch and checked it is the correct relay for the car or replaced it with a known good one.

You have the wiring diagram, so work from that and disconnect what you can to progressively narrow down the faulty area. Was the tow bar "professionally" installed? Can you get exact details of what they did? It is possible that a whole cast of cowboys has had a go with the wiring.

Now if you could replicate the entire electrical system for both the indicators and hazard lights great, but I do think disconnecting and meter testing is the only easy option for you. I really would start from the back of the car and thoroughly check the cars wiring looms for ANY damage. Correctly repair and seal the wiring as you go.

You can see from the wiring diagram that those lives also feed other circuits. Are those circuits working correctly? So if the lives are good what about the earths?
