Hi can anyone help, I need a head gasket fitting and live in West Yorkshire area. Leeds, Wakefield, Castleford. Can anyone recommend good audi/vw garages. Thanks

Why don't you give WOM a call in Stoke on Trent - its not a million miles away and you will not be disappointed !!!

Vass Autotech at Pontefract ... sorted me out when I was stuck on holiday, friendly and low prices. Eric,, one of the two mechanics had an A2!

How long was this mate ? And what work did u have done ? Are you local to me ?
Hi there Jayhaz ... September 2019 ... I have family that live in Streethouse Pontefract, I live in Northern Ireland but I was very impressed by their set up, they were very good at diagnosing and fixing my throttle issues ... hunting on idle and ABS lights triggering limp mode.

I'll give them a ring tomorrow. Thanks

What makes you think the head gasket has failed?
By reading these forum's. Nothing else it can be. Over pressure at over high revs and speed. Fine under 2,000 revs and at 70 mph but and more and she pisses out coolant from pressure release valve. 😫

Don’t be too hasty, my Tdi75 had very similar problems pressurising and venting coolant through the Header Tank overflow.
A “Sniff” tester from eBay confirmed there was no combustion gas present in the coolant and a new Thermostat from ECP fixed the fault, can only assume the old one wasn’t opening correctly when the going got hot ?
Cheap and easy job that may work for you too - fingers crossed, Robert.

That's interesting! Did the temp stay at 90c like mine ? I put my scanner on her after a 90 mile motorway run and the temp was saying 88.5 c.

Sorry, I didn’t check actual temperatures using vagcom, I should have, but at all times the in-car gauge stayed at 90 degrees and the car never actually seemed to overheat.
