Has anyone any experience of replacing the wing mirrors for heated versions? I would appreciate any advice you have.

Hi Stevedp, welcome to the forum.
Yes, plenty of discussion on this subject in the past.
Not sure if all A2's are equipped with cables to mirrors but the later ones definitely are - someone else might be able to clarify this. If you pull off the existing mirror, the cable should be coiled up behind.
Pop the old mirrors off and put new ones in place after connecting the cable - simple as....

Hopefully one of the other guys who's actually changed mirrors will soon let you know how easy they are to remove.

I have just fitted the heated mirrors, and there wasn't much more to it than 'popping off' the old mirrors. Unfortunately nothing is happening. I have tested the wires with a multimeter and don't get a reading when I turn on the rear window heater. Does anyone have any ideas.

Park yer car in the fridge and test them then!!!!! I did swap mine in the summer as well and couldn't wait for winter to try them out!!! They DO switch on manually though at ANY temperature when you switch the rear demister on... eg when you're driving in the rain and just want to clear the mirrors...
