Heated Seats with Audi Switches?

if the temperature coefficients of the regulation pots built into the mats are correct, then yes. However, since they're not original, they won't be, so I'd suggest reading the PDF linked to in #2 to get the correct numbers for specific temperatures.

Would the temperature co efficients of any vw/audi mats like these work with the standard switches and loom? And would the connectors for the standard loom fit?: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vw-Audi-Seat-Skoda-Seat-Heated-Heizung-System-New-/220866018840?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item336ca3fe18#ht_500wt_1361

This reminds me I have a Waeco kit to fit :(
Can anyone offer any advice on stripping leather sport seats to help (apart from 'renew the squab foam while you're at it')?

Bret, not sure whether your ref to post #3 was to my post or nuttinew? If it was to mine do you mean to say the other vw/audi elements will not work without extra resistors and the like?

Cheers Rob.

The other elements should work fine. The reference to #3 was for nuttinnew, as there are instructions in the PDF how to take the complete seat apart...

OK thanks Bret that's great. The back rests on the 'hard backed' sports seats are significantly more complex to take apart than the SE seats used in that guide. I think it requires a lot more upholstery skills!

Bret, I've now decided to go down the root of fitting Waeco elements and wiring as in the guide with the 10k thermistors and the 47k resistors into the A2 loom. The only Waeco kit's I can find on ebay are with part number MSH-50 (MSH-45 is the one listed on the pdf). Can i assume that the MSH-50 is just a newer version and should work with the same thermistors/resistors and circuit mods described in the pdf? Also, am I right in thinking that there is already a thermistor in the Waeco elements that is just swapped with the 10k? My German skills aren't the best! Thanks Rob.
