Hi All, I thought it was time I said hello. I started looking for an A2 back in the summer, attracted by their unusualness and ability to polarise opinion. The threat of ULEZ coming to our neighbourhood was just the excuse I needed to start looking more seriously.

I joined here in September with the aim of finding out a little bit more about these cars, after seeing A2oc.net recommended across the web for A2 info and general helpfulness. I got distracted by other possible cars over the last couple of months but this week an A2 has popped up that I hope I'm about to become the owner of very soon. Don't want to jinx things by giving too much away so will post if/when I'm an actual A2 owner. Wish me luck!

Is it a dealer or private sale? If it’s a dealer you can post a link on the forum and I’m sure you will receive all sorts of helpful advise once it’s clear what you are looking at.
 
Thanks! It’s a private sale, but it’s not being advertised. It’s a car I’ve known about for a year or two from another car forum, it’s been well looked after in the past with a couple of hopefully small mechanical jobs needed which I hope I can have a go at myself. Having done a fair bit of reading up on the A2 I ‘think’ I’m going in with my eyes open!

I’ve just bought one myself earlier this week and couldn’t be happier; my other half thinks I’m nuts! 🤣
 
This little beauty, 113k miles, FSH and with every invoice, receipt and old MOT certificates. I’m really pleased with it.

No, it was a demonstrator at Hull Audi, then The first private owner for about 6-years and then the guy I bought it from, who had owned it for just over 11-years.

Recent timing belt kit and water pump and all new front suspension arms and ball joints. It was a really good find from a nice and honest enthusiast seller who bought an A1 to replace it.

Those look nice, I was toying with some A1 wheels as the ones fitted have severe lacquer peel and let it down a bit.

I’m made offers on 2- sets of different A1 wheels, a set of 15” and a different set of 16”. Not sure whether they have the same offset.

16" A1 wheels fit nicely, these are A1 on one of my other cars. 15" give best ride quality though

That car is a stunner and the wheels look mint. That’s decided then, aesthetics over ride comfort every time unless it’s your daily driver and you’re doing big miles.
