Help! Constant clicking from door locking mechanism

In the A2, yes. The cold causes fractured solder joints to contract, thus breaking a circuit and causing issues. This affects the locks in particular.

Cheers,

Tom
That must be why I've had a couple of instances of locks cycling on my Crystal TDI while it's been cold. I think you sorted the locks in three doors out last time Tom, so this would be the fourth one now on its way.

I've scanned car last night and no "faulty CCU errors" but something wrong with rear doors lock was logged, cleared fault and I could hear this click in the morning when ignition on and then again when engine started like for last week or two. I will scan again to see what is freshly logged. anyone had experience with such faults in lock is it deffo new lock module or case of checking connections/greasing up bits?

It’s the fractured solder joint problem. The symptoms are classic of this issue.

Cheers,

Tom
