Hi all, started the car this afternoon, ABS light stayed on and Big Red ! light on DIS stayed on also. Stopped the car and restarted the engine, DIS flashed OK, ABS light goes out also but Engine management light staying on.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Hull Audi have told me its £45 for a scan and any further repairs at extra cost.
Cheers Kev.

Hi, I have got the same intermittant problem, the scan on mine has shown that there is a faulty speed sensor on the ABS on the off side front wheel.
I have had no issues with the breaks, I dare say you have a similar problem

£45 would be a minimum 1/2 labour charge for what is a 5 minutes plug the computer in and scan. Personally, if they wave the £45 when i give them the job to fix it, then it is acceptable. What you may want is ask the forum or check the forums' VAG-COM member list and see if anyone is near you and is willing to give you a scan. Or just go to your local VAG specialist garage.

If your in Hull, I'd go to the VAG specialist near Bonus Lighting, can't remember the name though of the company, its just after the Deep.

Ricci or something like that its called

Thanks for that, yes your right , its called Ricci Concept.
Car seems fine today, no warning lights and Engine management
light is off also. I will give them a ring and see how much to do a scan for me.
I,m presuming that the scan will show that there has been an error,
Thanks again Kev
