High Mileage 1.4 Petrols

A friend of mine has an option on a 'cricket score mileage' 1.4 petrol A2 at the moment - 150,000 ish on the clock (2001 car).

Do any forum members have 1.4 petrols with this kind of mileage - what kind of mechanical trouble / expense have they had with high milers?

Jossi here. 2001 model and driven 140 000 km . I´ve had almost all the kinds of troubles that members have experienced: strange sounds at front broken springs , water in headlights etc etc, , but "knock on wood" it´s been ok now for years! And I´ll never sell it!
No other car in small compact segment continues to be so firm and well after 7 years!
Like sitting in a hollow block of stone.
