Hi -
Having now got the heads-up on why my 2002 TDI is making the 4-beeps, I'd like to makes sure I don't just buy a replacement alarm unit before checking that it's not just the battery reaching the end of its life.
Problem is, the battery doesn't seem to have any indication on it about when it was installed or how long it should be good for. I've only owned my A2 for about 6-months (i.e. the nice warm months) and most journeys are good and long, used most days so it gets a good charge as well so starting has never been a problem.
The battery is a Varta unit but I'm really not sure how to check on whether it could do with changing, or not.
If anyone's got any suggestions on this I'd be really appreciative.
Thanks,
DT.
