How to separate A1 knob from gaitor to fit it on A2?

Hi all, I'm trying to separate this A1 knob from it's gaitor, without destroying the sleeve.
It doesn't just pull off and even got some kind of holes on one side as well. Any advice how to approach it? Pic shows front and rear. Thanks.

Thanks, but I meant separating the knob from the gaiter. Looks like somehow gotta turn the top, to click into those separate holes. But it doesn't move either way. Cheers

Okay I got it, I had to place a small flat screwdriver between the collar and gaitor and go around it carefully and it popped off Now I just gotta do the same on my A2. Cheers
