Hi all,

I finally got round to making a repair tab for the little bits that snap off the insides of A2 hubcaps. Mine needed several and as I have been learning Fusion 365 CAD alongside 3DPrinting this year I was able to knock one up that I'm quite pleased with.

You can download the file from Thingverse (free) https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5756289

Here they are in situ, they seem to be working well. I used super glue after scraping off all the remnants of the old ones and giving the area a clean with acetone. The mess of glue is from a repair by a former owner btw!

They will be popular, I'm sure. What material did you print with?
Mac.

Excellent, there’s a lot of otherwise decent hubcaps getting binned and they ain’t cheap to replace!

They look very good, you could print some & sell on the market here, I will buy a few.

I have posted the link in the Mk1 TT Forum, same problem as we have, same caps. I've acknowledged the source.

Hi, thanks for the positive feedback.

Im not really into printing to sell on etc, but if anyone else does im fine with that. I made mine in in PLA, the design is about springy enough using that and ad assume other materials might affect it. Hoepfully a they are in the dark, dry ish and not too hot they should last ok.

Glad you like em.

@carbore Man, this is it. I haven't got a 3d printer and came up with the following mostrosity but when I get the chance I will give yours a try.

Well done for fixing a stupid problem.

Hi , as you are able to 3D print . How about the handbrake "button" Audi dont have any. TPS dont have any Audi tradition or whatever it is called will not sell to the UK. Some joker is trying to sell them on the bay of lies at £17.99 when in reality they are a £4.99 part.
