Indicators have stopped working

My indicators have stopped working you put the stick down for left and right and nothing on the dash it may show one green light whichever way you are indicating but it goes off and now they don't work at all. I have tried the hazard warning switch and that works fine. Has anyone any ideas and is it a big job?.

These are the classic signs of relay failure - there's 2 ways of proceeding:

1. Buy a new one from Audi and fit it (around £26 and then an hour to fit).

2. Search these pages for how to take the relay apart and fix it (free, but it'll probably last for only a couple of months and will take ages to do!).
