I have a quick question. My Audi A2 is 1.4 petrol fitted with Audi 9 spoke 17" wheels with tyre size 205/40/17. I want to put new tyres on that will make the car look like it is lowered and will reduce the size of the space at the top of the tyre and the wheel arches. Any suggestions what size of tyre what size of tyre do I need that will make the car look like it's lowered, without lowering it.

thanks

As Perthshire says. The 205 40 17 tyre is already 5mm taller overall diameter than the standard 15" & !6" tyres.

I think some people have fitted 215 x 40 x 17s these wil be slightly bigger, but may catch and will give a false speedo reading.

Just lower it - I have 215/40 R 17 tyres fitted and although there is no rubbing, the tyres alone do not give the impression of a lowered car, with the small gap between rubber and arch top.

Cheers,

Mike
