Intercooler map sensor size ( current revision )

Ive a 2003 TDI, I know I have the smaller sensor
If I was to get a new intercooler from any of the various parts suppliers to they default to the revised parts?
The reason for the question is that ECP sold me the larger 19mm ? MAP sensor based on my chassis number, after taking the front apart I found I had the smaller version.
Now my intercooler has split so I have to do the job again

So places like nissins only list 1 type of intercooeler, and reading other posts on here suggest that all intercoolers would now be the smaller sensor and 2001 cars have had to go and buy the smaller sensor

That's basically correct - For info, the larger sensor is 18mm and was used up to chassis number 8Z-2-027-00
If you bought the map sensor recently then I'd take it up with ECP as it looks like they got it wrong. (I assume your chassis number starts with 8Z-3 for a 2003 model year car)
