It is interesting because it's a right hand drive car Steve. Could it have been an unregistered "display model" for a couple of years somewhere in the UK. ?
Next up was tackling the ABS fault. A clear of the fault codes and re-drive brought up only one code.. YAW sensor, but being an early model car, it was proving quite difficult to find one.
Steve,Next up were the spongy brakes.

I can't believe I had been test driving this car around my estate, when removing the pads they fell into pieces and were more than dangerous.
New padig discs and pads saw to that.
I've bled the brakes, but they are still a little spongy for my liking, stops the car lovely, but will give it another go.
Steve,
It maybe worth changing the entire fluid as it’s hygroscopic & takes in water if it’s the same fluid as when you acquired it from the collection.
It made a world of difference to mine , used a vacuum bleeding kit from amazon & the compressor as an air source.

The colour has come up lovely Steve, nice work it goes really well with the dark mirrors and handles, are those parts painted like on a Storm?
EGP or super resin polish?View attachment 54231
Medium claybar and a cote of autoglym yesterday inbetween monsoon showers.
Absolutely, 100% agree. This is a RoI A2. I've worked on a few of them over the years and they've all been like this; no colour coding to the wing mirrors and door handles. Most likely started life in the Republic of Ireland

I’d give it two coats of EGP over the top of the SRP as quick & will prolong shine until you can get a few coats of wax over the top.Super resin polish. I'll do a few cotes of it and then wax at some point
Just passed it's MOT with only a rubber boot on the drop link perishing. Not bad for a car that's been off the road for 2 years
Really love what you have
done with this car a real transformation, love the car and the colour
