If there has been some hacking going on (which there seems to be a lot of at the moment) then there wouldn't have been any notice. In defense of Ben, it's a really challenging time for Web Admins at the moment, as seemingly EVERYBODY is online, and nefarious people with nothing better to do seem to take great delight in wrecking other people's hard work.
I personally have had to resurrect two mental health charity websites that were hacked last week, filled with vicious bile for nothing other than sport. No ransomware, no virus. Just pain, and extra costs* for the charities who are struggling enough during these times as it is.
*The extra costs are for beefed up security on the back ends.
