Hi,
The jack in my car's toolkit is worn out on the base and so offers no grip and so can not be used anymore.
With winter approaching and the eventual need to change to winter tyres I will need a new jack.
The original uses the a pin to lift the car using the side jacking points but none of the jacks I have seen in shops here have such an arrangement.
They all lift using a jackpoint under the car. Is it safe and easy to lift an A2 in this manner or could anyone recommend any specific jack requirements/options for the A2. I assume to just lift one wheel up a 1t capacity should be adequate.
Does this look useable for example:

http://www.jula.no/search-result/?q=jek&all=JEKK&page=1
(Descriptions are in Norwegian but numbers and images are clear enough...)
I am looking for something that can be left in the car.
How much does an original Audi jack cost in the UK?
Regards,
John
