Hi all you a2 fans the month of july has been chosen for this years camping weekend --- friday 6th till sunday 8th---- this includes a saturday so will suit members that find a sunday awkward. The weekend will take place in suffolk--- http://www.stmargaretscampsite.com/
I have been up to view the site and i think it will suit us in as much that it is nice and flat with excelent drainage-handy with the weather at the moment. There is a pub 5 mins walk down the road that serves great food and is owned by the locals in the small villiage. We can also have a fire pit for our evening gathering and enjoy a toasted marshmallow or two !
I have found local places to visit indoor and out--who is up for a crabbing comp? This is a beautiful part of the country located very close to the coastline. It has areas that are still covered by a government secrecy order---but i have info i will share with you over the camp fire. If you need any help or advice on camping equipment please ask away.
The start time for the weekends fun starts friday night(we will be there from about 3pm), but if you can't come till satuday then thats no problem(or you need to put a tent up in the late hours) friday night is bbq night---the site sells local produce but please dont eat the chickens! Saturday will be a flexible day in as much as if its sunny we can head off to the coast or to more covered area if its wet (it will be sunny !) saturday night i thought it would be nice to all walk down and support the local pub and sample the food then head back to camp for a warming fire pit and chin wag. Sunday wil be a lazy pack up and a drive out for all that are interested. The local area is great for photography so pack your cameras.
IF you have never been to a social event then why not make this your first---all are welcome and its allways great to see new faces.
Please show your attendence to this event by clicking the calendar link here http://www.a2oc.net/forum/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=60&day=2012-7-7&c=1
and also in this thread. I will very soon be booking the pitches as they are just on hold at the moment(limited numbers) so please get back to me asap
