List of error codes - ask for guidance/spoonfeeding

The 2000-model 1.4 AUA (29kmiles) throws the following error-codes. All, except for HVAC, can be cleared, but at least the ABS brakes codes comes back within 1 hour of driving with three lights in dash followed with 3 beeps (if the other error-codes come back has not been checked yet). Expect the engine error-code to come back as the car sometimes is slightly "hunting" on idle.

I will certainly investigate the error-codes myself, but just curios if someone have seen these error-codes themself and can give me a "flying" start how to eliminate.

1) the engine error can be due to various reasons (there is no engine-light on in dash); any tip where to start?
2) the ABS error is as per my understanding most likely brake-servo (and most expensive fault)
3) how is access to rectify the HVAC?

The engine code is almost certainly an air leak. The long term fuel trim as maxed out on fuel and still the sensor is saying the engine is running lean. Or it could be a faulty O2 sensor but most likely an air leak

Aha; so the first error says that ECU has maxed out fuel (injection) while the other errorcode says that engine is still running lean? Had a short drive with the car now; no lights in dash and no hunting on idle. However, when cold there is slighty exhaust-smoke when rev’ing.

May I ask which hoses(?) to check for airleaks?

Any and all I’m afraid. Well actually anything from the throttle butterfly to the cylinder head including the inlet manifold gasket

See there is a thin oil film on the air-intake just above the throttle-housing. Could this be the oil-separator?

Has anyone replaced that on the 1.4 AUA petrol? Dealership is at £300.

It is a LONG shot, but make sure that the oil filler cap is on correctly and properly sealed, if the cap is taken off or has a leaky seal, the engine will "hunt" and you will get errors such as that (if you wonder why I am saying that just try removing the oil filler cap with the engine running and see how it causes issues)

A long shot as I say, but a free check at least and an easy fix if that is part of the cause.

Will do that! Another tip is to use startgas while running to see if the engine suck false air somewhere.

Here some photos of the air intake above the presumed throttle body(?)

that is the throttle body. THe seperator is far further down and on the back of teh engine.
THat level of oil film shouldn't be there.

Removing the oil cap cause engine to run uneven, so assume this is ok.

There is a hose behind the air intake that has been subject to chafing, see photo, but was unable to verify if the hose was leaking while engine was running (there is at least two spots).

From the first drawing, the hose is circled as «38»:

Is this further connected to the oil separator «19» by the hose «35» and circled as «29» (the clip)?

From where else can the oil film come from?

that is the crankcase breather. It goes out to a charcoal filter, I believe.

29 is the clip. The separator is 19.
I would personally take off the throttle body and clean it, and replace that hose. And work from there.

Edited the post; hose «35» by the clip «29».

But is my understanding correct; the separator is connected to the throttle body? And this is the source of oil film on the throttlebody as well as engine light on? See faultcode in first post.

Thanks again; dealership takes £300 for a new separator installed. Part is about £40 (FEBI).

Access must be from below right? No oil will leak when replacing?

i changed oil at the same time. no point not doing it. Shouldn't leak if you've not tilted the car backwards. And it is from below, it's quite simple. I remember arguing with something, but it still took 90 minutes to do everything.
