Looking for A2 and is it the right first car

Hi we are new to the A2 owners club,
I'm looking to buy an A2 tdi for my daughter as a first car does anyone have any tips and things for me to look for when buying one? Is there any specialist insurance brokers out there? Is it the correct car? All your help and comments will be greatly appreciated.

I'd check insurance quotes first, esp for a young 'un. The a2 does seem to generate high insurance quotes despite it's relatively low grouping - probably due to high repair costs. If you can get quotes to a reasonable level, then it's a great first car!
