Looking for my first A2

Hi ya,
I'm looking to buy my first Audi A2. I'm a 29 year old male currently driving a Subaru Impreza but realise that i need to sell it as me and my partner are trying for a baby and need something more familyfied and economical.....hence my attraction to this model!!!

I'd like some advise off you owners of said model in which is best for me (i quite like the 1.4tdi and preferably a 'sporty model') and what to look for when buying.

I have £5000 as a budget and you're responses would be gratefully appreciated....

You have picked a really good time to be in the market for an A2 as there seems to be plenty of A2's around for sale at the moment. You should have plenty of choices both from members of this forum as well as outside for your budget.Here are a few diesels I have found on the internet having spent a few minutes Goggling around for A2.

Please note that I have no connections with these sellers, nor am I endorsing them. I am merely pointing out the numerous choices you have available to look at for guidance of the market price. Personally I would prefer to buy from a fellow forum member for the added security/history/peace of mind, but only if the price is competitive as I would personally not pay over the odds given that we are awashed with A2's right now. So choose carefully, pick the "best one" and haggle hard to take advantage of the buyer's market right now. This could be dissapear quickly once the stock of new and used cars dries up...
