If the adaptation was completed correctly, then maybe not P1031...
Mac.
I will report back later on hopefully Mac. I was actually late for work this morning because I got engrossed with a thread you posted with Andrew regarding the old P1031 problem...I became engrossed with it and lost track of time!!!

Hi Andy,

Suggest you register your VCDS Lite for substantial increase in capability, costs $99 = £71.33 + bank fees. You will not be able to look at measuring block 142 with the unregistered version.

Will be giving my mate a shout with his Ross tech cable, I've now got full vcds on my laptop, but will need his cable to enable me to access it as you say.

Just buy yourself a cable, a few pounds off eBay or best quality from Gendan for £20.

Do you actually mean "full VCDS" or registered Lite?

Have got a cable already off e-bay that I used to use for vcds lite, but having used my mates Ross tech cable, apparently this has now opened up vcds full version, not tried it with my cable yet though...I always thought that you needed the ross tech cable to enable the full vcds version...will report back later if it works...

For pre 2006 cars, (A2s, MK1 TTs, MK1 A3s etc) , registered Lite + eBay cable is full fat VCDS.
So for around £80, you're up and running.
Mac.
