Hi folks,

Had my first misfire the other night (it was pretty wet outside). However, it's still running badly now. VAG scan shows:

Address 01: Engine
Part No: 036 906 013 F
Component: MED7.5.11 G 4628
Coding: 00051
Shop #: WSC 02138
WAUZZZ8Z34N001766 AUZ7Z0C2314641

2 Faults Found:
16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0300 - 35-00 - -
16688 - Cylinder 4: Misfire Detected
P0304 - 35-00 - -
Readiness: 0000 0000

I've read about NOX sensors and ECUs needing replacement - I'll check the plugs later in case it's something simple. But in the meantime - anyone had one of these before?

hi ben

i have looked on auto data they say fault
p0304 =engine mechanical fault, ignition,/fuelsystem,ect/maf sensor, ecm

fault P0300= spark plug's, ignition coil's,injector's,low compression, wiring

I would go for spark plug or coil pack on No 4 or could be damp

cheers

Hi,

Effesaye is back from the dealer - it was a defective Rod ignition coil. Replaced under warranty. They also spotted a seepage on the thermostat for the coolant system - so are getting a replacement in for that too. I'm firing on all cylinders once again :)
