missing tools?

I seem to have a few gaps in the boot tool storage area.... can anyone shed any light on what may be missing? Have done a google image search but can't find the same configuration.

I know I am missing a spanner from the slot on the left, but no idea what should be in the space above the wheel brace in the picture? looks like something substantial though!

Also any ideas what the plastic box is for top right?

HI Barny wouldn't that be where the side jack would be?

The plastic box on the top right is empty on all A2s that don't have the factory Sat nav.

The jack has its own place to the right which can be seen in the picture. Aside of the spanner, I can't see anything obviously missing. It is late though and I am minus an A2 currently and working from memory... ;)

A slightly different layout but this is the normal content (in a non-BOSE car)

A BOSE set up is as follows and the tools are in the box under the driver's carpet
The bracket on the battery is for the Spacesaver wheel.

Has it got a factory tow bar perhaps?

It is a long shot but that looks like it could house the removable tow hitch perhaps?

It is indeed the space for the OEM detachable tow bar. However, I've seen many A2's that are fitted with this design of tool holder that did not have the towbar fitted from factory. Therefore it is by no means a certainty that the car has a factory towbar fitted.

great, thanks everyone - I don't have a tow bar, so that explains it. I'm sure I have a spare VW/Audi spanner somewhere so I will have a complete tool kit. I like everything to be present and correct, maybe a little OCD!
Interesting that they have the space for the factory sat nav, as i'm sure that wouldn't have been an easy add on if it wasn't there from the factory?
