Mountain Biking in Wales

Last weekend I went mountain biking in Coed Y Brenin near Dolgellau in Wales. It was fantastic. Cycled all of Saturday and then over night it snowed! Yihay!

Car went great. Did not even feel the bikes on the roof and still cruised happily everywhere at 90mph... Fuel consumption a bit higher than normal though!

Cool Johann, looked like fun. Am hoping to head over to Snowdon soon for some walkies!!

On a related note, I recently saw an old thread about your opensky and roof bars. I take it you've had no trouble with yours. Every site I look for bars on says NOT SUITABLE FOR OPENSKY. I'm quite tempted but am a little bit nervous about cracking one of the glass panes :( .

How long you had yours for now? Had any trouble? I wasn't too clear from the photos as to how you fitted them.

Cheers

Cool will give it a go me thinks!! Like you said its a shame you can't take the fuse out for the opensky!! I was thinking of a sticker over the button saying 'Don't touch' but human curiosity being what it is, means that would probably end in tears!! :)

Is that an Alpinestars Cro-mega with Ringle hubs?

The bike furthest away is a 1998 Giant ATX 840. The other a borrowed bike sans any form of suspension or anything light about it my friend used! But not sure if that does indeed make it an Alpinestars?!
