New A2 Model?

Call me stupid but isnt the only new thing the new service flap which cant of cost em anything really considering what it is and made from, as far as the engine goes it seems like its just a remapped TDi not a new engine at all look at the specks exact same performance as that from a remapped TDi.

1.4SE petrol 2001, Dark interior, Sat cloth, Brilliant Silver, 3 spoke Steering wheel, Rear electric windows and Panasonic MR555 stereo, Panasonic 8CD changer, 10 speakers (2 extra 13" 190 watt each.)

1.4TDiSE 2002, Biege interior, Brilliant Black, Concert II.
 
The new engine has a different turbo (with variable geometry), and due to some optimisations, it has a better emissions standard (euro4), as far as I know and read...

Does anyone know when this TDi engine is coming out or has it already been launched - I wouldn't mind having a test drive.

Nov 2002 TDi Sport, Silver,Black/grey interior,climate. Replaced previous Mar 2001 TDi SE
 
I think it will be launched at the IAA in Frankfurt in 2 weeks and will be availiable in October...
