New drive shaft for 1.4 TDI 90 (8Z0 054)

Hi, we're struggling to locate a replacement drive shaft (both LHS and RHS) for our 1.4 diesel 90. Car model number is 8Z0 054. Our usual garage is also drawing a blank as it appears the part is particularly hard to come by for this specific model. The OEM part numbers are:
N/side. 8Z0407451EX
O/side. 8Z0407453EX

We've tried J&R driveshafts (as recommended on here previously) but they don't stock them. Has anyone managed to find a replacement part for this model? If so, where?!

Thanks :)

Have you tried the other part codes for complete left / right driveshafts on the same 7zap page for the ATL? Alternative manufacturers are cited for these in the "aftermarket" link (right most column after the part number in question).

ie :

8Z0407271BJ (left)

8Z0407272BJ (right)

The same 870407451 / 452 EX and AX part numbers are also listed on the AMF / BHC pages

so perhaps it is just you're looking for an obsolete part number that J&R don't stock and the driveshafts suitable for BHC are the same as those for the ATL?

Thanks Robin, this gives us something to investigate further - thank you!

I just went on eBay.

Adding to this thread as on same theme. I need a couple of new driveshafts for my tdi90 ATL which has a jdd gearbox.
Recently fitted j&r inner which lasted about 3k before destroying itself roller bearings everywhere inside when investigated. So, looking at alternatives napa seem to make a drive shaft with CVS attached, anyone used napa? Cheers
