Hi Folks,

After a long and winding road + lots of time perusing this forum, I finally got myself an A2 yesterday.

1.4tdi se 109K good condition and most importantly looked after by it's previous owner,
with receipts for work done. (cambelt/pump, shocks, brakes, intercooler, fuel filter etc)

It's due a service so I need to look into what to have done.
Fortunately there is a good vag specialist garage nearby which I used for an A3 years ago.

A couple of niggles to sort out first if anyone can shed any light on them please.
The dreaded windscreen wiper arm marking the window - such a shame as it had a replacement screen last year.

Is the only option a replacement a visit to Audi for a new arm?
I've read on here that you can try fixing / bending the arm, so would consider that first.

Also there is a fault with the heating system.
Whenever you turn it on (any setting) the passenger side footwell blows cold air (never warm).
I've tried searching on here but haven't found that specific fault mentioned before.
I'm still getting used to the air con controls but everything else seems to work ok

Thanks to all the members on here who's posts make the process of researching - and now owning an A2
so much easier.

Hi Chris, and welcome to the club.

It sounds like you've found a nice car. As you say, the most important thing is that it was cared for by its previous owners.
I'm just up the road from you, in Lancaster. I know the A2 well and have diagnostic equipment. If you'd like me to look over your car and advise on any issues, I'd be happy to do so.

Thanks for your very generous offer.
I'd certainly like to be able to start off by finding out any fault codes and potential issues to look into.
