New skid pan experience

After good interest on the skid pan thread, I am running on this.

I have reserved saturday 8th September with the skid school for us.

The day will start with meeting up at a convent mcdonalds for a chat and coffee:) followed by a drive in convoy to the location. There will proberly be 2 sessions depending on numbers.
Non drivers are welcome to come along and give support. Tea and coffee will be surplied to keep you going.

If you could add the numbers of drivers to this thread and those that are coming but not driving.

The cost will be £48 per driver I will require a deposit of £20 with the remainder paid buy cash or cheque on the day. Pm me to sort this out. To be received by 31st July to secure your place. They require that they have drivers first and second names so if you could pm those please.

After everyone has finished the course we will have a drive out, followed by a meal in a local pub.

If you could add your numbers to this thread if you are coming to the evening meal as well thank you.

What's a "convent MacDonalds" - one run by nuns?! :)

I'll check the date and get back to you -very keen on the idea as you know.

That's my dyslexia coming out Dan:) but according to Richard it can be a religious experience going there :)

I'm in - my other half would like to go on the skid pan too, and we'll bring our two boys along to watch so they can have a good laugh at their parents flailing about on the "skiddy widdy" ( we saw a few Mercedes go on the skid pan at Brooklands on Monday when we went to the museum!).

Both Petra and myself will be there to get sick :eek:.
There will defo be four of us for the evening meal, maybe five.

Sorry Dan I don't know how I missed that one. If they are useing the same cars when I was there last it was old ford escorts.

We also have some seats at the restaurant now--so why not come and have a go on the skid pan(not in your A2) the skills you will learn may help out when the white stuff comes this winter. We hope to pop to Hylands house for a cup of tea or coffee and a few group photos in front of the house-as used in auto glym adverts. Then relax over a drink and a meal at a nice village pub. looking forward to seeing you all on saturday.

would love to come but I have a friend in town from abroad. What time does the event finish?
 
Hi humps skid pan starts at 12 mid day, I would imagine it will finish aprox 3/4pm. We will then go to hylands house for afternoon tea,a walk about and photos. Then to the pub in danbury for 6 pm. So after the food finish at 7.30-8pm. Your more than welcome to bring your friend with you. Just let us know. Cheers mike
 
It looks like we have to get back to Richmond for about 5pm so we may have to duck out fairly soon after the end of the skid pan session now.
What time are we gathering in the morning?
Really looking forward to it.
 
So the plan everyone is to meet at 11am at McDonald's Borham Interchange, Drovers Way, Springfield, Chelmsford, Essex CM2 5PS. For a coffee and chat and head to the event in convoy.

The skid pan starts at midday and as Mike said runs till 3/4 pm. Then a drive over to Hylands House for some tea and pics:)

And then to the Pub at 6pm

Well what a great day. Thank you for everyone who came along. It was great to see you Dan Sara and the boys. Mike and Vonie it's always a pleasure as always. Mike mars was great to see you, even if you forgot that you were not in the skid pan on the way out. And Jeff and Glyn thank you for the change of clothes you know me to well lol.

The weather could not have been any nicer, everyone had big smiles on there faces, especially after doing sliding circuits around the ring. MikeMarsUK what was your mpg ;) I guess it might have dropped a bit :)
