Hi folks, just a quick intro as a newbie to the site. Really impressed with the detail of responses on threads & the overall feel of the site.

Reduncancy (a relief) forced me to search for a car & I didn't want to spend too much. Searched for 3 weeks and saw dog after dog & then spotted a 1.6 FSI Clr Storm at Cheerywood Cars Redditch; great service there. 2003, 94k, FSH, just serviced, 1yr Mot, Warranty & in great nick too all for £1500. So quite chuffed. A few niggles, Engine manangement light on, but diagnostics say sticking flap or leaky hose in the manifold and an easy fix by all accounts, which garage are sorting. Changing out front disks and pads with Pagids from ECP (31% off) and probably new clutch after Crimbo. Worn bush on gearbox torsioner apparently that garage is sorting also,bit of engine lunge when changing gear.

Apart from that a corker & great fun to drive. Looking forward to sharing ideas.

The fact that the garage are sorting the flap issue is a big bonus and will save you a lot of money in the future.

Welcome aboard Ade from a follow FSI owner.

Plenty of good advice, knowledge and banter to be had as you have stated. An active social scene too; next meet is Audi Driver International at Castle Combe race circuit in Swindon on 15/10 if you are interested.

Welcome to a great club, full of info and friendly banter, there's always someone to help!
Infectious little cars that get right under your skin I'm afraid, I'm on my 4th, which is nothing compared to some!
Currently very happy with my COLOURSTORM too, hopefully see some pics of yours soon and maybe see you at a social meet!, looking at your postcode, the end of year meal in Birmingham is right on your doorstep.

Welcome, as a CS fanatic I'm very glad to see another person with one. Would be great to see some photos when you have them, sounds like you got a bargain! :D

Cheers mrbroons, I thought 1500 was a good price; was 1800 so will pay for the clutch in the new year. I'm quite enamoured by it; although it only seems to have one isofix mount on the off side? Strange.

That is weird Ade. It may have been an option to have both but not 1!

That's what I thought, the near side has both, offside just one 'coupling' - makes me wonder if it either was never present or snapped off; which is worrying.
