Hi
I just picked up my 2004 TDI 90 today (first one in the UK??)
Impressed with the car, it goes like a rocket off the line
The engine is noticeably quieter than the 75 bhp versions I've driven. I can't hear the engine at 70 mph. It's still noisy at cold start though.
No obvious differences from the 2003 model apart from the grille.
I upgraded to the Matrix fabric and got the seat pockets which Audi said wouldn't happen.

Unfortunately the interior carpet is in the wrong colour (grey not black) but I'm not complaining too much

Congrats on your new car. If we were to get another A2 (hopefully not in the near future) the TDi 90 would probably be our pick of the bunch now - plus the fact the 1.4 petrol seems to be discontinued.

Enjoy.

Don't drink drive! Not only is it socially unaceptable, it also harms A2's.
Was a 1.4SE petrol. http://www.audi-a2.co.uk/uk14.htm http://www.audi-a2.co.uk/safety.htm
New A2 - Ebony Black, Red Leather, CC, Symphony + all the previous options we had.

Congratulations on the new car Mark, i`m sure you will enjoy it.

Are there any changes to the engine or is it just running new software?

Have now done 150 miles, and it's great
consumption so far just under 50 mpg but that's lots of town driving and I am being a bit more speed than I normally would. A bit disappointed, I'd hoped to see the 60+ talked about. Hopefully when it loosens up a bit

Engine has the variable geometry turbo which was first introduced on my old '97 Passat, I expect that's where most of the power gain comes from. So chipping should help a lot, provide the engine doesn't disintegrate

Not impressed with Audi UK's competence though.... but that's another story and they're giving me a free service to compensate
