Now that we finally raised enough money to buy the tool to fry our little car's brains, what are you all intending to do with the toy?

I would like to get the sunroof to close with the windows from the remote fob...

and I want the doors to unlock selectively: thus 1 click for driver's door and 2 clicks for all...

And you guys?

What you said plus:

door to lock over 5mph (or whatever speed it is)
see whether it's possible to enable cruisecontrol :)

All I can think of at present for ours is

Windows/open sky to do a total closure with one press of remote lock,
One click = driver door, two clicks = all doors - unlocking
Anti-hijack locking.
Thats it for now.

You can also set the belt-reminder to work if you haven´t. (Depends on country I think).

One of the Passat3b.de - members already told me the numbers to change for activating this nice feature. A red belt sign will come up for about five seconds to remind you of the belt... Thats useful...

I will ask him to send me more information about the A2´s system parameters as his wife owns an A2. He already transfered the ambiente-roof-light into the A2.

I don't think it will do that... you need to keep the button pressed so you can actually see that you're not chopping fingers - or heads in open sky's case - off!!!

It also seems to only work at a closer ranger than the general lock/unlock function... when you walk a distance away you can still lock/unlock - but you can't do the windows! So there is another safety feature I think...

Some Audi do have an LED-Light in the roof.

Image too large

With this light you can see the gearknob and the middle between the front seats even if its dark.

It´s quite easy...
You take two LEDs and 2 other electronic parts (don´t know the english name, in german widerstand) drill two holes and connect it to the lights of the switches.

I think I´ve got an HOWTO for fitting it on the A2...

Sorry, just saw that BAUMI has the link in the Audi-Speed.de-Forum so I think I can post it here too.

The pictures show how to put it all together. I know that his LEDs are taken from the W8-Lamp of the new Passat. The whole lamp costs about 35 Euro.

It is cheaper if you buy some LEDs and the 2 other parts and fix it together.
This will only cost some cent or pennys :D

Hmmm... nice one... the current A6 was the first production car with litle lights like that that make things more visible in the dark... the A3 courtesy car I had also had this inside the tray under the radio... so this entire area was lit in red... This is also an option on the new A4... can't rememeber what it is called... but not that expensive even, £200 or so...

So it is not just coming from the top as shown... they have multiple LEDs over the interior to do various things...

But somehow I don't think Stuart's new tool (as this threads name suggests) would be able to provide LEDs! [}:)]

Just to let you know - I ordered package 7 from VAG-COM last night and then spoke to them afterwards. It is being delivered before midday on Wednesday (tomorrow)...so I will get practicing as soon as I get time!

They recommended that I buy the manual as to how to use the software for the A2 and as I managed to get 5% off the price of the tool, I will put this money towards the manual.

Are you coming to the club social?

Be good to see what else can the tool do, can it change anything about the engine management, e.g. idle rev speed, etc?
