I doubt I will be around to see this vision of the future, which probably means I have lived through the best period of human existance for personal independence, long gone are the days of driving for hours without seeing another vehicle!

The roads are still pretty empty in New Zealand's South Island - it was a bit of a shock coming back to the UK last year.

The problem with electric will be the lack of generating capacity in the UK. And I'm afraid that the concept of driverless cars frightens me.
