No power

A friend of mine has just bought an A2 which needed a little TLC, it's a 04 plate 90bhp.
It's had a new turbo fitted, he's replaced the EGR valve and the throttle body but it still has no power.
Is there anything else that he needs to change? Any ideas?
Thanks.

Do you know if your friends car has been fault scanned ?. If the pipe workings from the turbo are leak free then I would consider looking at changing the fuel filter, air filter, MAP and MAF sensors. All relatively easy to do and cheap options. :)

Split intercooler or related piping? Has he had advice that the turbo EGR was faulty? usually if there is a boost leak then the EML is lit on the dash. Any error codes?

Thanks for the replies, i've passed the messages on and he's going to check all above possibilities, i'll repost any news. Thanks.

I still miss my A2....haha

Have the boost controller pipes be put back in the correct places or possibly a controller faulty holding the wastegate fully open so no turbo boost as such, i think theres 3 of them which sit just under the passengers side washer jet .

What happened to the old turbo?

Did it disintergrate? it might have damamged pistone / valves if that is the case.

Just a quick update, spoke to my friend today and he tells me the car goes like a rocket, the problem was the pipes for the turbo. The previous owner had fitted the new turbo and put the pipes back on wrong way. He originally bought the car for his granddaughter but she ended up buying something else so this A2 may be up for sale shortly, (might me tempted myself after foolishly selling my yellow storm)
Thanks for all the info/replies.
