Noise when idling

Troender, did you check if wiper arm is not touching the windscreen? Check the flat part where the pivot point is. That is how i solved my problem with rattling noise (and saved my windscreen)

Here it it: My Clutch is surprisinly enough holding on. So I havent been in possition of driving deeper into the problem with the anoying noise.

But I think that I know whats missing now. TO lock the rubber Seal that fits around the gear shift cables, running through the Firewall in place, there is a two part «Gear stice lever selector clip», part #8Z0 711 580A. Its purpose is, if i understand this correct, to lock the whole thing firmly in place. (See part 6)

My theory is that this plastic clip have fallen out of place, and that the cable therefore is rubbing against the metal body of the Firewall.

I hope that someone that has exchanged gear shift cables or something like that, can confirm that this clip is that important?

I am currently breaking a car like yours ( AUA, already posted out some parts to you ) I think you are correct, but I will check on my breaker as the clutch gearbox is perfect & pm you pictures.

no worries at all, when you get your parts, I have put in the box my whatsapp no, will be easier to take pictures and send rather than uploading to the computer & posting etc etc, whatever pictures you need let me know as the car is now getting very accessible with many parts removed.
