I have just done an oil & filter change on my father's tdi 90. When I took the undertray off there was a patch of oil on it and there was oil on the bottom of the sump and going up towards the oil filter housing. When filling the car back up with oil it was pouring all over the floor so I followed the small corrugated hose that is connected to the filler and found a big split in it.
Has this happened to anyone else?
To fix it I removed the flimsy corrugated hose and put some coolant hose I had lying around on it. Im not sure the connection on the bottom end of the hose (near the oil filter housing) is sealing properly as I didnt have enough room to get to the jubilee clip properly... Is there some sort of one way valve to stop oil going back up this pipe? If not then it's going to continue to leak? but if there is it's only going to leak when i top/fill up.
Cheers
James
