I currently have 2 cars with an openskys which are currently both fully working and go all the way back. However I would like to keep them this way!
What are your tips? What lube do you use? Where do you buy it? How do you clean it beforehand what clothes etc do you use?
No, I used WD40 contact cleaner with a tea cloth, then literal coats of lithium grease whilst working the roof back and fourth. Also coat all the rubber parts with a silicone grease or Vaselene
Old thread on open sky servicing info gleaned by Timmus when he had his roof replaced by Rinner in Germany - https://www.a2oc.net/community/index.php?threads/rinner-opensky-service-tips.16494/post-125283

I suspect you may be correct. Not too long after Audi Worthing replaced my OpenSky in Jun-2014, the roof panels went out of alignment. Rather than adjust the panels they installed a second new OpenSky to my carI’m not being funny but Audi will do nothing, I don’t think they know their way around these roofs.
Unless there has been an update the dealers don't have much to go on as the servicing instructions are rather basic
