OSS versions

Out of interest, how can the original and updated versions of OSS be identified? My understanding is that this was either implemented at the factory during later production, or retrospectively by Audi dealers under warranty. Thanks!

All that I'm aware of is a difference in the behaviour when you press the switch. Early ones don't have the tilt function on the first press, they just go all the way back as long as you keep holding it. It's all handled in the motor unit, I swapped an early motor out for a later one and now I have the tilt function.

As well as the tilt function, you can tell by the seals along the panels, the early ones are flatter, and the brackets on the rear of the roof under the roof lining are different on the 2 models. Also, in the later ones, there is a jig on the front seal to stop the front panel from being adjusted too far forward, allowing it to open properly without being too stiff.
