Passenger front door wont unlock

ALL OTHER DOORS WORK, BUT THIS WONT OPEN.i managed to get the doorpanel's off with door still shut. how do i get the door open so i can change the locking mechanism?
when i try to unlock it, it tries to move, but seems to be jammed.
nothing can be done till i get the door open.

I don't think theres a way without beating it off as you need the door open to get the window/frame out of the way to remove it, not sure if theres an over ride
