I rather fancy changing my pedals on my sport to something ... well a little "sportier"... anyone done such a thing? any tips or pedal recomendations? Got any pics anyone?...
Trouble with a pedal change is that the pedals used in the A2 are actually unique to the model - no other VAG group car uses them!
You can change the rubber pads for something a bit sportier - some aluminium ones for example, and these are regularly sold on Ebay for about £15-20 a set.
hey thanks for the info. If i wanted to change the pedal rubbers for another kind as you say are all the fittings a universal size? Is it simply a case of unscrewing the rubber ones and screwing new ones on? or is it trickier?
Not having done it myself, I'm not entirely sure of the procedure, although I know they're not screwed on!
I think that the new ones are glued in place, and you may even be able to bond them over the existing rubbers, but check out other places for more info (maybe Tyresmoke.net or similar).
Hi Juniorbeep
I fitted TT pedal rubbers. They are a direct replacement for the A2 ones and have a moulded lip which pulls over the metal pad on each pedal. They are very tight so its advisable to warm them up to make them more pliable. http://www.a2oc.net/forum/showthread.php?t=3989&highlight=steering+wheel
