I think I would be naming and shaming the garage and pursuing them to pay for the job doing rightThanks again Tomscar,so hopefully no damage except to my wallet.
That's good Bernie, it will be helpful to others if you can post the new part numbersThanks,oh ive got the receipt from Audi for the others, seems they have been superseded, will post soon.
Standard 10.9 again, not single use but Audi likes them replaced. Its the bolts that go through to the anti roll bar clamps .... two on each side ... again single use stretch bolts.
In all honesty I don’t have the info to advise. As far as I can see you have been well advised by @TomscarSo does this make the car dangerous to drive?
A console has to be pinned and torqued up correctly. A new one needs aligning. It looks like this hadn’t happened. The console needs setting correctly with new plates in the chassis if damaged. Have I missed anything?Sorry Phil but the only one that was stripped was the pivot bolt when they removed the console and torqef,i got a replacement console and they seem to have used a air wrench to tighten the new bolts. Now my car creaks and groans when moving off or turning.
Been thinking they probably didnt even mark or use those locating pins ! So could anyone please advise as to what i need to inform
VAG guys of what i need doing.
Gave them replacement Pivot boltHi Bernie, what did they use to replace the snapped pivot bolt?
