Does anyone know whether it would be possible to retrofit the module used in VW Golfs / hhhm BMW's to automatically tilt the electric mirrors in / down when engaging reverse?

I'm not sure how this works as there must be a memory for the original position of the mirrors and it might not be faesible without different electicals within the mirror housing itself.

Any ideas - it would help to save the RS4s

No! There is no way to get the mirrors to work like this. Ask BrettiKivi, we already tryed this. (German Forum).

I might well try a different version of this, but it will be very complex and won't happen anytime soon.
