Pre-Cat Lambda replacement (1.4 petrol)

Are there any tutorials or photo info on this job.Getting the P1178 scan code from the engine light and think it may be the front lambda sensor that requires a replacement....?

I used this one few years ago for my AUA, but it fits BBY/

I got it fitted by the garage as it can be quite difficult to get the old one off. If I am correct, you need to remove the heat shield to access it.
Hope someone with more experience can be here soon.

Cheers....managed to get the heatshield off (just).Slackened off the sensor with a 22mm spanner so thats good.Just trying to figure how the block connector prises apart and of course whether to pull the trigger on a brand new lambda sensor to see if it extinguishes the engine light.I’m on my 5th scan & reset now and am getting fed up.The car runs sweet but it needs sorting.I’m just wondering if the electrical fault could be further up in the loom...?

Update: A front lambda replacement cleared the p1178 error code....an easy fit too.Many thanks to captain059 for sending me the Amazon link.A good price for the NGK part £78.00 ??
