Random on Symphony

Hi everyone.

Have a 2003 A2 with a Symphony 2 (6CD Changer)

When there are CDs in the changer and a cd is playing I get a menu for setting the random function when I push the Menu button.

The three choices are Changer, CD and Off.

I would have expected "Changer" to choose a song at random from the 6 CDs in the changer and "CD" to choose a song at random from the current CD.

As it stands, there does not seem to be any difference between "CD" and "Changer".

Anybody got any ideas? Or am I plain wrong?

It could mean the external changer (you don't have). You only have the changer, which is inside the radio. But I don't know.

Hi, I have a similar issue and I'm baffled.

I have a 2004 Colour Storm with single CD and changer in the boot.

My headunit will only shuffle 1 CD in the changer not all 6.

You are right that the choices of changer shuffle and CD shuffle don't activate 6 CD shuffle.

Apologies if I have misunderstood.

Perhaps I'll call the dealer and get then to fix under warranty?
