Rear abs sensor replacement tips

Hi,

I have a rear abs sensor coming to a slow death.
Any tips on removal as only ever done front ones. Car is amf drum brake model.

Hopefully an easy job, is it possible to drill them out at the back like the front?

Did mine a couple of weeks ago, the bolt sheared off. i used the old sensor as a guide to drill the centre of the bolt. i needed to move the shock absorber out of the way (bottom mounting only gave enough room) removed the sensor drilled and re tapped the thread, new bolt, clean up round the sensor ring (few drilling fillings) and refit .Took about 40mins including jacking up, looking for another bolt etc

Thanks Steve, I'm guessing it's a crusty festival under there. I usually find the plastic sensor finger gets stuck in.

I got it off okay, the bolt is allen key no5 or hex 5. I used a torx bolt to get it going. Using an extension and no5 bit I could reach through the spring and get to it.

Sensor.fell out easy enough. Cheers
