Rear brake light sensor...

I'm starting to wonder about my car... the rear brake light sensor went again last night! This is the FOURTH time in 3 years I'm left with NO brake lights and only a flashing glow-plug light inside to warn me of this very serious defect... I think it is really bad design on Audi's part.

How long do Audi cover their parts and labour? It was less than a year ago it happened last I think...

That same thing happened to my A2 for the first and (so far!) only time about a month ago.

Audi 'dedicated technician' came out in his fancy fluorescent AllRoad and fixed it in 20 mins. New switch. Perhaps it is a defect?
Maybe if you can convince your Audi dealer that this is a reccurring problem that first occurred in your warranty period, then it should be FOC?

I will definitely get them to check the records on my car BEFORE I pay for another one. Two of the previous ones had been done under warranty. The last one was a tidy £86 fitted with the switch itself less than £20 if memory serves me right...
