As you can see above, the OEM part number is 6Q0512131B for the 123mm stop buffer, or 8Z0512131C for the 140mm stop buffer. The only build code for the longer 140mm stop buffer is PR-G22, so the 123mm stop buffer is by far the most common.

The OEM part number for the protective pipe is 1J0513425A

The VW group used the same diagram for a range of cars, including the Audi A2, VW Polo, Skoda Fabia, Seat Ibiza.

Part 15 "stone chip guard" doesn't appear to have been fitted to the Audi A2.

Perhaps they should have fitted them - the number of rear springs that snap due to a stone lodged in the bottom turn of the spring - I've had 3 go in 20 years of ownership.

Hi,

Sorry to bump an old thread. My A2 seems to be missing parts 14 and 3 from the above diagram. Where can I find the correct part numbers and where can I get cheap replacements.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Just did the no. 3's on the black A2 along with the shocks, bumpstops and top mounts don't recognise no. 14.
Noticeable sharper in the handling and a bit quieter.
Cleaned out the lower spring seat pan of odd bits of gravel and grit.
Wouldn't be inclined to fit anything that would hold debris around the spring base metalwork drains unless it could be easily removed for cleaning.
Good Evening,

Having very recently gone through organising a suspension rebuild I am well up on this. I can understand your concern for part number 14, the diagram is quite deceptive, it does look like a foam bump stop but it is not. It is actually a black plastic cap for the damper cylinder on top and looks integral to the damper but it is not, in fact it comes off easily with a tap with a hammer. You most likely have it I cannot see it coming off, identify with the part number.

Rest easy, I can post some pictures if you wish.

Andy
