Rear number plate lights ?

Hi folks,

lol ive only had my A2 for 4 weeks now but only noticed today i have no rear number plate lights !!!!! Now my question is are these specialist parts or can i find a cheaper set rather then Audi main dealer ?

Have your bulbs gone? Have you tried changing them? Or are the light units missing? If they are missing then I don't think they are that expensive from Audi.

hi unfortunatly these light units are of in my opinion poor quality. The screws rust and snap off resulting in the unit needing changing- no simple job as it requires the tailgate to be taken apart! the units are £11 each (clear part and black backer) just dont over tighten the screws as this cracks the clear part to such an extent that eventually you close the tail gate and out they pop on the floor.
As for after market its a no as far as i know. cheers mike
