Morning all just wanted to ask the question has anyone out there encountered a rear suspension failure were the wheel is hitting the wheel arch ? took a call last night from my brother-inlaw regarding his wifes 54 plate tdi which his son took out last night then made a call to say wheel has just started hitting the rear arch so AA was called and relayed to the garage we all use and left outside. garage in question is closed over the weekend but i can walk to it in our village to take a look. brother-inlaw has just had his both front wishbones done on his A2 because of really bad corrosion and i know there is lots on that topic but not heard of rear failure? i know the wise ones out there will know the exact problem but i thought i would ask before i head off to inspect. we have 5 x A2s in our family and this is the first time i have heard of this issue and i fear a hefty bill to repair? the car in question clocked less than 600 miles last year as its a mint externally SE model with OSS etc as its mainly the family shopping trolley and has less than 60000 on the clock so would not expect what i was told last night, as always if you care to shed any light on what i have said it would be very much appreciated and thanks to all who have replied in the past on other issues we have had as an A2 owners clan.
