Yes unfortunately on the 1.6 FSI you have to have the thermostat housing too all I need is a thermostat as my housing is goodI would personally stick with the genuine Audi thermostats Louis. I think Crewe Audi have listed them for around £20 on a group buy.
The thermostat you ordered has It been good over the 2 years getting up to 90 degrees all the time after 10-15 of running the engine ?my housing was good, can i refer you to https://audi.7zap.com/en/rdw/audi+a2/a2/2002-248/1/121-121076/ number 8
I will have a mechanic helping me out just in case I do something wrong ? how long did the thermostat take to arrive as I need it for Saturday?yes very much so, as i said a very good quality product, will you be fitting it your self
I agree stick with Audi/OEM whenever possible. Tom at Crewe Audi quoted £78 for a thermostat for my FSI last October.I would personally stick with the genuine Audi thermostats Louis. I think Crewe Audi have listed them for around £20 on a group buy.
I’ll ring them and ask tomorrow I’ll let you know how I get on ?I don't think so, is there anything on the invoice for the repair work?
If not then it does no harm to ask the garage.
